Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CookFast, on the web at cookfast.fit and in the CookFast mobile app. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. What CookFast is

CookFast turns cooking videos into structured recipes you can save, organise and cook from, with a public community pool of anonymous recipes. It is an independent personal project, provided free of charge, and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account, must be 16 or older, and are responsible for activity under your account. You can stop using CookFast at any time, and you can delete your account yourself from Preferences on the web or Profile in the mobile app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; what it removes and what it leaves behind is set out in the privacy policy.

3. Your recipe library and imports

Saving a recipe from a video is your personal note-taking: the structured recipe (ingredients, quantities, steps) is stored in your private library for your own cooking. Videos, and any creative content in them, belong to their creators; CookFast shows the creator's channel credit and links back to the original video. You may only import content you are entitled to use, and your use of YouTube remains subject to YouTube's own terms.

4. Community recipes

Recipes in the community pool are anonymous snapshots. By contributing a recipe to the pool you grant CookFast a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce it within the service, and grant other users the right to save a copy into their own library. Because pool recipes are anonymous copies, they may remain in the pool after your account is deleted.

5. Acceptable use

• No content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful or misleading.
• No attempts to scrape, overload, probe or disrupt the service.
• No use of the service to violate anyone else's rights.

6. Content removal and takedown

If you are a video creator or rights holder and believe a recipe on CookFast infringes your rights, email support@cookfast.fit with the link and a short explanation. We review every notice and remove infringing content.

7. Third-party services

Google sign-in and YouTube are third-party services with their own terms. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

8. Availability and changes

CookFast is a small, free service. We aim to keep it running well but may change, suspend or discontinue features (or the service) at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". Recipes are extracted automatically and may contain errors: always check quantities, cooking times, and above all allergens and food-safety guidance yourself. Nothing on CookFast is dietary or medical advice.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from use of a free service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go before the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
