Questions people ask
How do I get a recipe from a YouTube video?
Copy the video link, paste it here and tap "Get the recipe". CookFast reads the video details and what is said in it, then writes out the ingredients and steps.
Does it work with YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Paste the Shorts link the same way as any other video.
How long can the video be?
Free conversions work for videos up to 20 minutes. Signed-in users can convert longer ones.
Is it free?
One conversion a day is free without an account. Sign in with Google to convert more. A video someone has already converted opens straight away and does not count.
Is the recipe accurate?
It is written by AI from the video, so check the quantities and steps before you cook. Recipes we are less sure about are labelled "Check before cooking".
Does the creator get credit?
Yes. Every recipe names the creator and links to their original video. We do not host or copy the video itself.
